Four more pages!

Looks like I’m going to have a new subject for my layouts here soon. We are hoping to add a puppy to our family this next weekend. We got to meet him last weekend and he is a little cutie!

I’ve done four layouts here recently, with two of them coming from the missing months of my PL. I’ll get caught up, I love it too much not to!

Tommy spent several days with Elysse and Jorge, going to a Heat basketball game and trying out some of the local breweries and their craft beer selections. We’re still eating the Mother’s Day blueberries at this point, too!

So very excited to bring this little guy home soon!

Pumpkin and pecan pies, absolute staple for dessert at any and all of our holiday family gatherings.

Well, I haven’t totally forgotten

how to scrapbook, so I’m pretty darn pleased about that. I’ve completed 7 pages since my last post and I can share 6 of them now.

On an exciting note, I got two PL spreads done! I’m trying the “stay current and then work backwards approach” that a lot of people suggest when you get behind. I have found that a little bit of hindsight isn’t a bad thing when doing these weekly pocket spreads because you know what comes next. But the memory just isn’t so perfect on all those little details anymore. And my photo catalog isn’t helping. So many times the date imports as today and not when that photo was taken and then I have to spend time figuring out where to move it.

Sit down…

I actually scrapbooked yesterday {gasp}. It’s been weeks! And that used to be uncommon.

I’m sure it has something to do with:

a. For a solid month I packed to move

b. LuLaRoe shopping

c. Then I unpacked

d. I do a lot of social media for sites and designers

But, I made TWO whole pages yesterday at Scrap Day with my friends. One I won’t be able to post until next weekend because it uses something new but the other I can share now.

This makes my little scrapbooking heart proud! Jorge (Elysse’s boyfriend) made a conscious effort to take a photo of something important because he knew she would like it and I would, too. One of his best friends for YEARS is going into the service this week. His buddies met for lunch as a sort of farewell and he documented the moment. This scrapbook thing has kind of permeated the family, methinks.

Wow! It’s been over a month…

and I had a really good reason for not posting for such a long time. I’ve been packing up my entire house to sell it. With the help of family and friends we managed to get it all packed into boxes and then into storage units.

I actually haven’t even scrapbooked in two weeks which is a very long time for me! But today, I closed on my old house and I scrapped! But before I post those, first I better post the few that I haven’t included on the blog as of yet.
