Three for The Lilypad

Chance – The BYOC packs from Little Butterfly Wings were perfect for my documenting my choice of a OLW for 2015. I’ve chosen Chance.

The Best Year Yet Journal Cards, The Best Year Yet Elements and The Best Year Yet Papers ALL by Little Butterfly Wings; A Bigger Mess by Amy Martin; Acetate Alphas by Heather Joyce;  Project Grids by Amy Martin; Custom Font

Family is the Greatest Gift – I used the extraction technique shown in Traci Reed’s My Digital December class at Scrapaneers for this one. It was also my first layout while guesting for Stolen Moments Design this month.

Christmas Wish by Stolen Moments Design;  Polly Love: Featuring Brynn Marie by Amy Martin; Custom Font

Time for the Tree – One Little Bird’s There’s Something about Merry kit was just adorable! This documents the annual HUGE downtown Christmas tree near my office.

There’s Something About Merry Elements, There’s Something About Merry Papers, There’s Something About Merry Journal Cards ALL by One Little Bird; 4×6 Monthly Frames and 3×4 Number Frames by Stolen Moments Design;  Project Grids 3 by Amy Martin; Style: Christmas Foil Photoshop Styles by Just Jaimee; Custom Font

All of these layouts use the custom font that I got from Darcy Baldwin Fontography. I bought print fonts for me and for my daughter because I love Darcy’s fonts and she was retiring from font design. Elysse did hers months back and I’m excited to say she uses them on her printed class notes. I also use them often on her layouts, especially ones that I journal in her words. I kept putting off making mine I guess because I was scared I wouldn’t like it. I’ve never been one to hate my own handwriting, I actually like it, but it is unusual. I’m excited to say that I love how it turned out! It really looks like I wrote on my layouts. I’m excited to use it on my 2015 pocket albums and other scrapping.

2014 Week 31 – Just Jaimee’s September Storyteller Collection – amazing as always! So many things to use, it’s tough to just select a few (well actually that’s impossible for a MAXimalist like me!)

Two new ones

Martinis –  A kit called Ladies Night, of course that brought to mind Pilars Martini, a local place where they try to know your name. This kit has a little retro, some collage pieces and that fun bright glittery red!

This Is Organized – This was a really fun kit to work with!! I tried to show my cluttered side (which isn’t too hard to do if you walk in my craft room). It has all kinds of crafty items, paints and plenty of word art for a word-a-holic like me.

Two more weeks of 2014

For weeks 28 and 29, I used products from Traci Reed. For week 29, I used her new Pocket Life: August Collection. For week 28, a review for The Pocket Source I used several older products from Traci.

Week 28

365 Unscripted: Stitched Grids 5; 365 Unscripted: Stitched Grids 4; 365 Unscripted: DIY Real Life Cards; A Week Remembered: Layered Days of the Week; A Week Remembered: Subway Stamps; 365 Unscripted: Lifestyle Stamps; Social Cards – Freebie; Pocket Life: May; Pocket Life: January ALL by Traci Reed; Font: DJB PROJECT STORYTELLER by Darcy Baldwin

Week 29

Pocket Life: August Collection by Traci Reed;  365 Unscripted: Stitched Grids 6 by Traci Reed; Font: DJB PROJECT STORYTELLER by Darcy Baldwin

My review at The Pocket Source:

I’ve been lucky to be on Traci Reed’s creative team for over a year now so I have the 2014 Pocket Life Collections in my digi stash. So I challenged myself to go back into her store and see what other treasures that I could discover to add to my pocket scrapping layouts. I was not disappointed! The “A Week Remembered” Collection is absolutely perfect for the weekly pocket life scrapper like me. The Subway Stamp word art fits exactly in your vertical pockets and comes in both a clean and a distressed texture. The Layered Dates fit the bill for adding the day of the week to my spread this time and are completely customizable which I love. I can never get enough word art to use in both my pocket scrapping and traditional layouts and the Lifestyle Stamps could easily be used in both places. To document a less than perfect day, I used the DIY Real Life Cards. I’m positive THOSE will come in handy again! To round it all out, I used two of the 365 Unscripted: Stitched Grids (which also come in a faux plastic version for those that prefer that option over stitched pockets) and two of the Pocket Life Collections for papers and a few digital elements. This mix and match scrapper loves that the collections can be combined again and again adding more value and versatility to them.

Two for BYOC at The Lilypad

Before and After – I had a project day at my house with Daddy. HE did projects, my job was to clean off and reorganize the garage tool benches.

Frame After Frame – I get text photos from Tommy at Philmont all the time. In one set of them, there was a light colored patch that I thought was gravel. When I uploaded them into Lightroom, I could tell it was SNOW! Snow on the mountain in July!
