Finally, a new layout

I just wasn’t feelin’ it recently, the inclination to scrap. Last week was filled with preparation for the Winter Park Arts Festival, then the actual Festival itself. Finally got some of my mojo back. I’ve been looking at some templates recently, some that people have on sale. I’ve determined that I’m leaning a lot more for the simple graphic style now, definitely liking the Cathy Zielske, Paislee Press type look. All those templates with 10 different papers are pretty, but they’re really not me. I think this class will forever change how I scrapbook.

Here are three new pages from Week 10

Elysse is home from college for Spring Break.  Tommy had a lacrosse game, too so I didn’t work yesterday.  But I did work today.  So this weekend I didn’t have very much time to get my layouts done.  I completely redid one but I’m pleased with the way they turned out.

From the first time I saw this template, I thought of Tommy’s Philmont photos, such beautiful scenery.  They worked out perfectly!

Another layout

I scrapped an everyday moment!  One I really wanted to scrap!  When I decided I wanted a camcorder for my birthday, I looked at Flips and several other very simple ones.  The more I thought about it the more I remembered why I upgraded cameras.  I wanted more ZOOM!  So I left it up to Ed to pick the right one for me.  Now, he’s a real photographer, and entire CLOSET filled with camera bodies, tripods, lenses, camera cases, SERIOUS photographer.  He texted one day and said he was out looking at camcorders.  (Texting on new iPhone, hasn’t really texted very much).  I said great.  Then thought a moment.  I wanted to make sure he got one that was small (thinking smaller would be easier to operate for the newbie and less expensive too), so responded with “hoping for small, purse-sized”.  He replies back with “How big is purse?”.  I had to stop the car I was laughing so hard!
