I did my 6X6 intent title page tonight. Then, I did my introductory layout. Interesting idea… do everything you would normally do and get it out of your system so you can change. My own style has been evolving lately. Now that I’m basically 100% digi, all my paper habits have disappeared. I’m still a little tied to patterned paper, and I mean really patterned paper and am trying to moderate that. I’ve been collecting so stuff from different designers with a different style that I’m really enjoying. I love Paislee Press and TaylorMade and Ashalee Wall. I am amazed at the depth of Katie Pertiet’s work, she just does everything and does it all well. It’s like her well of creativity is bottomless.
I enjoyed the heck out of Tiffany Tillman’s class. She taught me something new just about every lesson. Even though it was a scrapbook class, my Christmas photography was SO MUCH BETTER this year. I love her template style.
I am so glad I took Type + Writer and Type + Writer 2 this fall. I began rediscovering me during those classes. My journaling is exponentially better, more robust, than it was before.
Yesterday and Today was a turning point for me, I believe. I am now just SO excited to be able to back and scrap some more of my childhood photos. I think that Library of Memories combined with Y&T will really expand the heritage part of my scrapping. I also plan to be able to show more connections in my layouts as opposed to strictly chronological scrapping.
I am looking forward to scrapping more and better in 2010.
My intro layout is below:
Template and logo – Cathy Zielske, Papers – Cilenia Curtis Xmas 2009, Jeannie Papai Sweet Thang, 3 Paper Peonies – Warm Woolen Mittens, Joanne Brisbois – Moonrise, Malina Design – Christmas, Jesse Edwards – Ornamented, Dana Zarling – Web 22408, Lori Barnhurst – Fall Color, Pink Ribbon – Scrap n Arts Breast Cancer Kit, Flourish – Anna Aspnes Hipster Plumes 16, Katie Pertiet Floral Edgers #2, Word art – Amanda Sok Friends Family wordart, Fonts – Pea Natalie and Myriad Pro
I plan to use my cuttlebug to cut stars for the top center square and I’ll brad down some paper flowers in the bottom center to represent some of the past. I’ll also include my initials.
