I surprised myself!!

I can’t believe it worked! Elysse wants bar stools for her apartment but wants to paint them. My two are wood so would be really good to paint. I’ve had for several years and am ready to replace. I noticed a set of three on sale and bought today during lunch. Tommy helped with one then went off to watch the NFL draft. So I finished putting them together all by myself. I thought about blogging, but didn’t feel like hooking up the phone to the laptop. Hence, using dropbox from info from the digisis group today.

Well, I’ve learned a new skill that I’ll have to practice!

Back on the scrapbook train…

Yep, I’m finally scrapping again after tax season. I’ve probably finished about 7 layouts but I can’t really post all of them yet because several are related to the new Designer Inspirations series at Digital Designer Shop. They identified 7 different gorgeous color palettes and have been designing these awesome kits to go with them. But it’s tough to post layouts using kits that won’t be released for weeks! We know people will want them after they see them.  I should be able to start posting at least most of them very soon.

I’ve been listening to Paperclipping Roundtable podcasts at work during the day using iTunes. Man, that makes me feel very creative when I get home!  I also got an email about Stacy Julian’s new class Finding Photo Freedom starting soon. THAT made me want to organize photos tonight!  I did one whole folder with all the keywords, tags and ratings including the seasonal highlight folder.  Of course, it was lacrosse photos which made me want to do a summary layout for the season. I’d already identified this great Tiffany Tillman template to use for this. It’s been sitting in my ACDSee image basket for a couple of weeks, just waiting for me.

Finished it tonight!  Tommy thinks it turned out great!

Back to posting again

Looks like I’m done with taxes for the season… maybe.  If I get called to work this weekend, I will but I’d much rather go and visit my mom and Ed instead. In between boy scout meetings, band auction deposits and reconciliations and yet again more scout spreadsheets and deposits I did manage to get a scrapbook layout finished this week. Tommy had a GREAT lacrosse game last Friday, a goal of his own and three direct assists. It was his first multi-point scoring game and he was SO excited!  You could see it in his face all the way across the field. So I pulled out some of the blue and orange paper that I hoard so closely for school stuff and some of my trusty lacrosse supplies and came up with this:
